New Kid on The Blog

Zero O’Clock

During these 14 years, I accidentally became BTS fan, the famous Kpop group. Why accidentally? Because I was not a fan of K-pop (only K-dramas). I even told Wanzu, that I would never liked K-pop. Their fashion looked like girls, excessive makeups and accessories, no real talents (back then, for me each boy band member should have clear distinct role, like guitarist, pianist, singer, etc- the typical setting), the songs mostly loud and have no real melodies that soothe my ears, yada yada.

Little did I know, fate says differently. One fine day, after I finished watching one of the greatest K-drama that I love, titled Hwarang, I searched for the casts, because that’s what I usually do. I could not move on. I was sad. I was supposed to still be in the drama. In the era (Hwarang is a historical-genre drama). Like everyone who is down on the rabbit hole, I also search for the OST. The specific theme song of Hwarang was sang by duo singers named Jin and V, titled is ‘It’s definitely You’. So I searched for them. Who they are. The lyrics, and why it is so good, etc. And that’s how I discover BTS, and the rest is history. My journey as ‘army'( the fandom is called army, not that I became soldier) started from there, unintentionally. And I know which one is which (beats the racist comments that they look similar), I suddenly allow they wear makeups. In fact, they are the only men I allow to wear makeups and danggling earrings. I dunno why, the perceptions suddenly changed. Maybe the sayings ‘Tak kenal maka tak cinta’ really is the truth. And you know what? Suddenly I found so many beautiful songs, with beautiful and healing lyrics, which helped me in my journey to see things differently, from perspectives I didn’t know exist.

So yeah, that is just, the intro of how I became an army. Or a person with broader mind. I embrace that the world is, indeed beautiful. In the end, segala puji bagi Allah.
